Historically, malgarr (shields) were paired with liyangayil (clubs) for combat. I've replicated their shape in my art. Bunjil, the wedge-tailed eagle, formed the Earth and its inhabitants. Afterward, Bunjil and his six men were carried to the sky by Bellin Bellin, the Musk Crow's winds, to live as stars. Handcrafted in Australia from Australian Red Cedar, each piece comes with an informative card detailing the artist, artifact, and design, all inspired by traditional South East Australian symbols.
